Who we are

CROMPA is an affiliate product discovery platform based in Finland. Creators post products and services with affiliate links; viewers browse and click through to purchase. CROMPA earns a commission when a purchase is made via those links, and passes 70% of that commission to the creator who posted the content.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the service:

• Account data: your name, email address, and handle when you register
• Content data: product posts, images, descriptions, and affiliate links you submit
• Performance data: views, clicks, and estimated earnings attributed to your posts
• Affiliate link data: click events on affiliate links, used to calculate commissions and detect fraud
• Subscription data: your plan (Free or Pro) and billing status
• Device data: basic device type and browser, used only to render the app correctly

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the platform, calculate and process affiliate commissions, detect fraudulent clicks, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Aggregate, anonymised performance data (total clicks, CTR by category) may be used internally to improve the feed algorithm.

Third-party affiliate processors

CROMPA may route affiliate links through third-party affiliate aggregators (such as Skimlinks or Sovrn Commerce) to track conversions and process commissions. These processors receive the destination URL of a clicked link and may set their own cookies in accordance with their privacy policies. CROMPA does not share your personal account data with these processors.

Affiliate disclosure

In compliance with FTC and ASA guidelines, all product posts containing monetised affiliate links are clearly labelled "Affiliate" within the app. Clicking such a link may result in CROMPA earning a commission at no extra cost to the viewer.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide during onboarding, and on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating the affiliate platform and preventing fraud. You can withdraw consent at any time under Profile → Privacy & data. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Commission and click records are retained for up to 36 months for accounting and fraud-detection purposes. When you delete your account, personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days; anonymised aggregate analytics may be retained.

Cookies & storage

CROMPA uses browser local storage solely to keep you logged in and remember your in-app preferences. We do not set third-party tracking cookies ourselves. Third-party affiliate processors linked from product posts may set their own cookies; please refer to their respective privacy policies.

1. Who we are

CROMPA ("we", "us", "our") operates the CROMPA affiliate product discovery platform available at crompa.com. CROMPA connects creators who post products with audiences who discover and purchase them via affiliate links. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CROMPA. By using the platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of affiliate links complies with any applicable affiliate network terms and the laws of your country of residence.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@crompa.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Creator use

As a creator you may post product content, upload images, and attach affiliate links to your posts. All content you submit must be accurate, lawful, and comply with Section 6 (Prohibited content). You are responsible for ensuring that any affiliate links you use are valid and that you are authorised to use them. You agree not to use automated tools, scripts, or bots to generate artificial views, clicks, or engagement. Fraudulent engagement may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of pending commissions.

5. Affiliate commissions

When a viewer clicks an affiliate link on your post and a qualifying purchase is made, CROMPA earns a commission from the affiliate program. CROMPA passes 70% of that commission to you as the creator; CROMPA retains 30% as a platform fee. Commission estimates shown in the app are indicative and based on average affiliate rates; actual amounts depend on the affiliate program and confirmed purchases. Payouts are processed on the 1st of each month for the prior month's confirmed earnings, subject to a minimum threshold of €10. CROMPA reserves the right to withhold payouts if fraud is detected on your account.

6. Subscription plans

CROMPA offers two plans:

• Free: post products with affiliate links from supported affiliate programs. Affiliate links must be valid tracked links from a recognised affiliate network.
• Pro (€14.99/month): all Free features, plus the ability to post your own products, use non-affiliate product links, and create posts without any link. Pro subscribers also receive priority placement in the feed.

Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change plan pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Affiliate disclosure

In accordance with FTC (US) and ASA (UK) guidelines and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions, CROMPA automatically labels all monetised product posts with an "Affiliate" badge. You may not attempt to remove, obscure, or misrepresent this disclosure. You are responsible for any additional disclosure requirements that apply in your own jurisdiction.

8. Prohibited content

You may not submit, post, or promote content that:

• Is false, misleading, or deceptive — including fabricated reviews or inflated product claims
• Makes unsubstantiated health or nutrition claims (e.g. "clinically proven", "cures", "boosts metabolism") without verified scientific evidence
• Infringes any intellectual property rights
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
• Promotes illegal products or services
• Targets minors with inappropriate content
• Uses broken, redirected, or fraudulent affiliate links
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

9. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content you grant CROMPA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on the platform for as long as your post is live. CROMPA's brand, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property and may not be used without written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific commission rates. Affiliate commission amounts depend on third-party programs outside CROMPA's control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CROMPA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from changes to third-party affiliate programs.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you use a website or app. CROMPA uses browser localStorage (a similar technology) rather than traditional cookies, but the same rules apply under GDPR and the Finnish ePrivacy Act (sähköisen viestinnän palvelulaki).

What we store and why

Third-party services

CROMPA uses Supabase (supabase.com) as its database and authentication provider. Supabase processes data on servers in the EU. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party advertising trackers.

How to change your preferences

You can update your consent choices at any time by going to Profile → Privacy & data. You can also clear all locally stored data by clearing your browser's site data for crompa.com.
